19th PANHELLENIC CONGRESS OF THE HELLENIC SPINE SOCIETY

It is a great honor to invite you to the 19th Panhellenic Spine Congress, which will be held in Kalamata, May 7th – 10th, 2026. It will be an Anniversary Congress, as this May, 20 years since the foundation of the Hellenic Spine Society are completed.

In the rise of this new era, under the impact of AI, significant challenges are ahead and will occupy the attendants. Value based healthcare, administrative issues in the management of spinal cord trauma, building a spinal referral network, navigation and robotic technology are main topics of discussion. On the other hand, what are the main concerns that co-workers, the nursing staff, are facing and which are the principal negative factors that a patient deals with in his daily life, after a failed back surgery? And how can we surpass them?

Together with recognized colleagues of neighboring medical specialties and other scientific fields, as well as the industry, we will navigate these fields, pointing to the next generation of Hellenic Spine Surgeons.

Having in mind that Messinia, and the city of Kalamata in particular, is a wonderful location for a springtime relaxing and joyful stay, we anticipate your contribution and active presence to a hopefully memorable Congress.

Panagiotis Zoumpoulis
President of the Hellenic Spine Society
